In 1999, the boyband that gave the world Justin Timberlake and failed spaceman Lance Bass filed suit against their former manager, claiming he "took advantage of our trust" when they signed the contracts that would guarantee them pop stardom and bugger all money from early hits like I Want You Back and Tearin' Up My Heart.

The band's manager Lou Pearlman had unscrupulously written himself into the contract as a member of the band, and so received one sixth... hey, wait a goddamn minute. Him again! Did no one ever teach you kids to read the small print in contracts? Pearlman is now two years into a 25 year prison stretch for conspiracy, money laundering, and making false statements during a bankruptcy proceeding.

We love a happy ending.
