How many rock giants have been made bankrupt twice in their career? The millions Meat Loaf should've earned from making 1977's Bat Out of Hell (the fifth biggest-selling album of all time) were hoovered up by then managers David Sonnenberg and Al Dellentash, causing Meat to leave them. They promptly sued him for breach of contract, leading to his assets being frozen. His valiant attempt at a comeback in 1986 failed when the '80s pop sounds of album Blind Before I Stop failed to sell, sending him into bankruptcy again.
Since then, Meat's been on a rollercoaster of success and failure but his new album Hang Cool Teddy Bear is a total return to form, so fingers crossed he doesn't have to face a third trip to the court.
