They were the biggest boyband (now manband) in British music history with no less than 27 top 40 singles, including 11 number ones, and 40 million records sold worldwide. Not that any of this counted for much in America, the country that spawned the boyband genre with New Kids On The Block, the group Take That themselves were modelled on. Only Back For Good (the most successful single recorded by any boyband ever) made the American top 10.
