Looking at Bob Dylan as he approaches his fifth decade in music, he cuts an almost timeless figure in a classic western suit and Stetson. But it's a look that's evolved over numerous radical reinventions that mirrored his musical revolutions. He arrived in New York in 1961 as a self-confessed Woody Guthrie jukebox, not only mimicking his hero's songs and singing style but donning the look of a hobo; his trousers held up with string. As he turned folk electric, The Beatles clearly influenced his choice of pointed boots and sharp shirts, though we're not sure where the wild, birds nest hair came from. He even experimented with makeup and masks for the Rolling Thunder tour (apparently influenced by rock band Kiss). And if you think he's done changing, check out the new video for his single Must Be Santa where he's sporting a blonde wig and a Father Christmas hat. It's this season's must-have look.
