Highlights: Records a cover of Lady Marmalade with Lil' Kim, Mýa, and Pink for the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. The song becomes the most successful airplay-only single in history and wins all four the Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.

Lowlights: An album called Just Be Free, which features demos recorded by Christina aged 14 and 15, finds its way into the shops. She tries to have it withdrawn but eventually agrees to a settlement regarding its release.
