Spice Girls 99% certain to play Olympics closing ceremony (and more latest rumours)

When Victoria Beckham tweeted a photo of her glittery Spice Girls microphone last week, Twitter went mental with speculation that her old group would be reuniting for the Olympics closing ceremony this Sunday.
The emergence today of a photo of what appears to be Victoria, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Mels B and C rehearsing atop London black cabs suggests the rumours were true.
David Arnold, musical director of the closing ceremony, has promised the event will be the "world's greatest afterparty", a two-and-a-half hour extravaganza with music firmly at its heart.
Although organisers have been tight-lipped about who will be performing, more details have been leaking out as Sunday approaches.

the spice girls are like our governments and the previous ones.
everyone knows they are crap but we are stuck with them, I t seems the power behind who makes the decisions is blind to the fact they are realy talentless and cannot play a musical instrument between them or even sing .

Well they must be desperate if the spice girls are on. If they are they won't be needing a microphone as they only ever mimed to the CD's with the studio sound system recorded on it. Its probably another favour for Beckham

Oh dear if it wasn't bad we had to suffer McCartney with Hey Jude, now they are wheeling out The Spice Girls? We have totally amazing talent in this country and instead decide to offload to the world five talentless offerings, who will most probably mime there way through a medley of their crappy cak pop hits during the closing show,! Tom Jones stole the stage at the Queen's Jubilee a real legend...a man deserved of a crystal blinged up mike! C'mon Tom, you're true olympic gold!
