Featuring grainy black and white footage made to look like experimental European films of the 1960s, the video for this Lenny Kravitz-penned tune shocked and confused in equal doses. Set in an elegant hotel (apparently in the midst of hosting an alternative lifestyle and interpretive dance convention), it depicts a tired looking Madonna wandering the halls before hosting a rather unorthodox orgy with several scantily clad androgynous participants.
Both MTV and MuchMusic banned the video due to sexual content, with the latter creating the chat show Too Much 4 Much as a result. As always, Madonna would get the last laugh as a VHS "video single" (there was a world before YouTube, kids) released later that year would become a bestseller.

can’t take anything away from the fact she 'was' brilliant in the 80s, but a 50+ woman gallivanting around on stage with little clothing and playing with guns is a bit sad.
Think she has to retire from music with dignity but every time i see her I don’t think she will.

Well, interesting all the vitriol seems to be from men..... Well haters, whether you like it or not (and hey, lets hope you don't, eh? In the absence of Jackson and Presley she is now this Earth's Jackson or Presley, with lots of tribute acts (Like Lady bla bla) just like Elvis did. If you feel uncomfortable with Madonna, good. If the wotrst you casn say about here is that she's no longer shocking....at least she was. What did you ever do that was shocking? Get a bit squiffy at a party. And did you not think that madonna may just be pushing one of the last boundaries of discrimination: AGE. All the haters seem to bring up is her age. So what. Stop trolling on here and go and do something with your lives....

Oh good - I see the care-in-the-community brigade have arrived to spread their vitriol, sexual frustration and hatred for women, as they attempt and fail to cut that Madonna lass down to size! Sadly some of the comments here are truly terrifying and much more controversial than anything Madonna could ever come up with!
Regarding Madonna, if she could just record some killer tunes (like back in the day) then she wouldn't need all this waving toy guns around to sell her new records and over-priced concert tickets. Unfortunately, she doesn't appear to have released a decent song since 1991, in my mere opinion.
That said, respect is due to Madonna for being a strong and independent woman, a recording artist who had moments of brilliance and someone who made her own rules.

She still trys to shock in order to make the papers around the world. She's totally predictible now, its what we expect her to do so therefore it isn't shocking any more. She should focus MORE on making good music rather than trying to use the shock factor. Seen it all before. Either retire or give us some fabulous music, now that would shock us.

I hope she never retires so long as she enjoys what she is doing. People who want to restrict what other people do simply due to age are very sad indeed. If they themselves want to crawl into a little hole and sit picking thier nose when they get to 40 then let them, but why they feel the need to inflict that sad and insane little attitude over the net to others, I simply cannot imagine. The woman should do what she wants when she wants and not pander to the bowing and scraping to what others think lame brains out there, whatever age she is.

How desperate is she? Give it a rest already; you've had your time, done the toy-boy bit and anything else you can to gain publicity. Looks really good for her 50s but thats good against other 50 year olds, not teenagers / 20s, you aint gonna look 25 again. So do us a favour and do the Fosters advert looking after the 2 guys. Your times up as a sex icon; write songs for others. Joan Rivers has you nailed.

Just reading most off your comments why are you slagging a women who has made a huge success love here or hate her she as changed things from when she started till now she is 53 and so what she put 20 year old to shame if don't like her don't listen or by her music.But after seeing the MDAN 2012 tour a few weeks ago in Barcelona have to say it was amazing if you can and get a ticket go see her at Hyde park next Tuesday then COMMENT !

I cant really believe msn is giving her al this press about nothing. She use to be great i have seen her many times and if she quited 20 years ago she would of been a legend forever, or even if she just brought stuff out every 5 years the same would apply also if she just produced or wrote stuff for other productions or artists. But now going around at her age getting her nipples out on stage is so low for her, i cant believe she is that desperate for attention this is a woman who has done it all b4, been number one female for decades why ruin it with an act someone even from the x factor would know not to do, its like an embarrasing auntie or something. Madonna you have had your time as a sex symbol it was the 80's and 90's and you were greatbut this is 2012 you cant compete with your katy perrys ga ga as sex symbols anymore.however you can still be an artist but keep it realistic please..
