As she takes a judging position on the UK X Factor, we take a look at her rise to fame
Madonna makes headlines again
We've all seen the adverts screaming 'TURN OFF YOUR MOBILE PHONE' in the cinema.
But we think perhaps Madonna missed these.
Reports are saying the star has apparently been 'banned' from a cinema chain for texting during a movie.
According to The Independent, Madge was texting during the New York premiere of Steve McQueen’s new film 12 Years a Slave.
They say another audience member told her to stop, and she's alleged to have replied saying: "It’s for business…enslaver!"
Tim League, CEO of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, Texas, tweeted saying: "Until she apologized to movie fans, Madonna is banned from watching movies @drafthouse."
Oh dear. This isn't the first time Madonna's done something controversial though.

can’t take anything away from the fact she 'was' brilliant in the 80s, but a 50+ woman gallivanting around on stage with little clothing and playing with guns is a bit sad.
Think she has to retire from music with dignity but every time i see her I don’t think she will.
Oh good - I see the care-in-the-community brigade have arrived to spread their vitriol, sexual frustration and hatred for women, as they attempt and fail to cut that Madonna lass down to size! Sadly some of the comments here are truly terrifying and much more controversial than anything Madonna could ever come up with!
Regarding Madonna, if she could just record some killer tunes (like back in the day) then she wouldn't need all this waving toy guns around to sell her new records and over-priced concert tickets. Unfortunately, she doesn't appear to have released a decent song since 1991, in my mere opinion.
That said, respect is due to Madonna for being a strong and independent woman, a recording artist who had moments of brilliance and someone who made her own rules.
