Singers are known for the diva-like demands, but find out who's making some unbelievably odd requests.
Music's best-loved red-heads: Ed Sheeran
Platinum-selling, multi-award-winning, superstar-collaborating singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is 22 today. Yes, he's only just turned 22! Clearly being ginger hasn't hindered Ed's progress in life.
Anti-ginger prejudice is sometimes described as the last socially acceptable form of discrimination but Ed has said it's actually worked in his favour. He told FHM magazine: "People like to talk about the fact I'm ginger. I get tweets saying, 'I don't like ginger people, but I like your music. It's a hair colour, it's not like I'm diseased but I embrace it and I think it's played a part in me getting to where I am."
So, in celebration of musical red-heads everywhere, we've put together a gallery of our favourites!

I'm gobsmacked at some of the comments here. Being a redhead I knew there was a certain amount of predjudice out there. I thought it might be just a bit of a joke but it keeps appearing. I now know how it feels to be the subject of racist abuse. Even the headline is provocative.
Luckily, I grew up in Ireland where, until relatively recently, I had never really heard the term 'Ginger'. I did get the odd back-handed compliment from people saying 'you're not bad looking for a redhead'. But in hindsight they were being just as ignorant as the author of this article and many of the comments.
We usually laugh off these types of comments in an effort not to be seen to be overly sensitive about it but in reality it is pure prejudice and yes, racist, and it hurts.
I have travelled extensively in my life and the only people I have experienced this sort of prejudice from are...well Engli****peaks volumes to me. Many of you might actually be old enough to grow some sort of a beard one day, just take a look the mirror when you do....you might not like what you see!
"What makes 'red-heads' such talented musicians?"
Well! For centuries it has been the custom to capture these strange creatures and cut off their hair to weave into long strands, these are then refined further and used as strings for most plucked and strummed instruments. If it weren't for this, red-heads would be at a major disadvantage! NOT! ;-)
Can't you tell the difference anymore as to what is racism? This is exactly the response MSN was looking for! Something from something seemingly innocuous in it's foolishness and yet controversial and politically incorrect, the perfect catalyst to get commenters rattled.
It's not discrimination to identify a statistic! However, the question by MSN, [if it's by MSN and not some commissioned hack who's work is never checked,] is the most ridiculous implied fact/ statistic to make and without even any proof that the QUESTION is based on a factual remark, which I, like everyone else, [including yourself perhaps, though you have not actually stated so,] seems to suspect as being complete and utter nonsense. It's not racism Andy, it's just plain dumb!
"Someone" raises one great point re' MOBO. It's all so easy to look from one viewpoint isn't it and that's what we as decent people have been trying to change for generations haven't we? Then there you go doing the exact same thing!!! Take a good look, who do you see in the mirror now? People are all the same, it's the time, place, circumstances, that makes them different, that's all.
Then there's the odd one or two who are just plain nasty and really sad cases who were brainwashed while growing up to be racist and compounded this by association with all th worst similar types to themselves!!!
