Barbara Palvin denies Bieber romance

Barbara Palvin has taken to Twitter to deny rumours that she's the reason for Justin Bieber's split with Selena Gomez.

The stunning Hungarian model, 19, posted a photo of herself with 18 year-old Bieber backstage at a Victoria's Secret fashion show on Thursday night.

News of his split with 20 year-old Gomez emerged 24 hours later, leading to speculation that Palvin was involved.

Seemingly frustrated by the gossip, Palvin tweeted last night: "last time im saying it. please calm down.there is nothing going on w him.i met him and did a pic w him. wouldnt u do the same?:) "

People magazine has since reported that Gomez ended her relationship with the Canadian heart-throb due to "trust issues". They had been dating publicly for two years.

A source told People: 'She broke up with him about a week ago. With them being apart so much it got complicated. She had some trust issues. It's not easy, but the relationship needed to end."

In what may have been an effort to make Bieber jealous, on the same night Palvin posted her photo with Justin, Gomez posted a photo of her hanging out with her handsome Wizards of Waverly Place co-star Gregg Sulkin (below).

The accompanying message read: 'Shooting at 2am and this is where me and Gregg end up...'
