Lawson: We search Twitter every day to find a wife!

They’re hot, they’re musicians and they spoke exclusively to MSN Music about their Twitter fascination and the girls in their life – it’s Lawson!

With their first single When She Was Mine entering the charts at number four, you could be forgiven for thinking the boys would want for nothing. But no! Money and fame may be one thing, but the boys are on the lookout for love.

Lawson- possibly the hottest new man-band on the scene!

"Joel's not single, but the rest of us are single and searching Twitter every day to find a wife," lead singer Andy admitted.

Would they really date a girl they met on Twitter?

"Why not? Without a shadow of a doubt!" Andy replied.

Blimey, we have a feeling his follower count is about to go off the scale! But the boys aren't short of female admirers.

After a recent gig at St Pancras train station in London, the boys witnessed certified Lawson-mania as girls of all ages chased them through the station! Oo-er!

"We don't have security," Andy told us.

"It's a bit surreal actually. Our tour manager came over and was like, 'errrm guys - we need to leg it!'"

Joel interrupted, adding that "someone grabbed my arm and started pulling it!"

"Yeah, we literally legged it through Kings Cross and dived into the van with loads of girls chasing us! Did you rip your leather jacket Joel? It was pretty intense!" Andy said.

"It's a dangerous game," Ryan laughed.

We're very impressed lads, but we want to hear more about The Wanted! Spill some gossip...

"They do a lot of pranks," Adam told us. "You have to watch your back the whole time!"

"The first tour we did with them, about ten minutes before we went on stage we were doing a live Twitter-cam interview, and they kept coming in every ten minutes getting more and more interested in how many people were watching.

"We started to think it was a bit fishy and two minutes later they came in with eggs and flour and chucked them straight at our heads so we were covered.

"We had to gel our hair with egg yolk and stuff. It smelt great though. It smelt really good," Ryan claimed.

Going back to the beginning, we couldn't help but wonder where the name Lawson came from.

"We're named after a surgeon who operated on me," Andy told us.

"Before we started the band I had a big operation to remove a brain tumour and the doctor who performed the operation was called Dr Lawson.

"We named the band in his honour."

Ahh, what lovely boys!

"My mum took him a signed CD the other day! I think he's flattered to have a band named after him! It is quite an unusual story," Andy said.

Despite being a band, they boys are adamant they're not a boy band.

"I think a lot of people compare us with The Wanted," Joel began.

"Obviously we did a tour with them so we get compared to them, but we play all our own instruments and stuff. When you see us live, it's a more like a rock show really."

But they weren't shy about saying they admired the way The Wanted boys had taken America by storm, and that they would like Lawson to be a big name out there too.

"America's the big picture," Ryan revealed.

"The big aim is to take over the world. We've got big ambitions."

Andy added; "Australia and Singapore have been tweeting us a lot recently - we got played on the radio this morning in Indonesia!"

"We got a tweet this morning that we were played on a radio station in Borneo!" Adam added excitedly.

Andy, however, wasn't sure about that; "Borneo?! I don't even know where that is! Is that near Bournemouth?"

Oh dear, Andy.

Their first single When She Was Mine charted at number four and MSN Music heard a whisper that the track was written about Andy's ex-girlfriend, none other than The Saturdays stunner Mollie King!

"I date Mollie for a little while," he said.

"Well, we didn't just date. We dated for a little while and then we were in a relationship!"

Ooh - was it Facebook official?.

"No," Andy laughed. "But we did move in together."

"Me and Andy have been officially in a relationship on Facebook for over two years now," Ryan added.

Ahh!

Well one thing's for sure; the boys are a tight-knit group and we can't wait to see a lot more from Joel, Andy, Ryan and Adam.

"We'll see you all at T4 On The Beach," Andy said.

"And don't forget our hashtag on Twitter... #FindLawsonABride."

We're not sure they need our help, but if you fancy a date with Lawson, you know what you have to do!

T4 On The Beach takes place on Sunday 1 July in Weston-Super-Mare. Tickets are on sale now. Visitwww.channel4.com/t4
